All proceeds go to RNIB Pears Centre for Specialist Learning. Wetherspoon are offering use of the spacious Cellar Bar without charge. It would help with future events for people to have lunch by ordering at the bar.

The prize competition has four sections – Singles, Pairs and Teams at the live event as well as an Email section across the globe. The ‘Seven Dials Mystery’ is solved by cracking the clues and completing the grid. As in any mystery there are several twists and turns.
The puzzle has seven veils. Successive lifting of the veils makes it less difficult until it becomes very do-able by any crossword solver. These ‘helps’ come with time penalties.
The puzzle is a spinning jigsaw in three dimensions. Without removal of veils it is probably the ‘hardest crossword in the world’. This will challenge the best solvers around. Yet in its simplest form it is very do-able by mere mortals.
Whatever happens, the afternoon will be very enjoyable in good company with lots of helpers to keep solvers on the move. Come and join in the fun!
