Sirius suggests starting with the January calendar puzzle, with some assistance and go steadily through the year. There is a gradient.

The 2009 Puzzle

The puzzle resides in a calendar
Every day has a clue
Every month has a grid and a prize of a standard reference dictionary or similarly priced reference book

The 2008 £500 Puzzle

The £500 prize will be donated to RNIB to support he building of the new Vision School and home for the visually impaired children with multiple disabilities, at Ash Green on the outskirts of Coventry.
